Ingredients

Cake Ingredients:
  • 3 eggs
  • 9 g Innova Cake Emulsifier
  • 70 g granulated sugar
  • 70 g medium-protein flour (all-purpose flour)
  • 20 g cornstarch
  • 25 g milk powder
  • 3 g cinnamon powder
  • 80 g melted margarine
Fillings:

  • 110 g margarine
  • 25 g powdered sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 15 g milk powder
  • 15 g cornstarch
  • 150 g low-protein flour (cake flour)

Instructions

How to Make the Cake:
  1. Put eggs, granulated sugar, and Innova Cake Emulsifier into a mixing bowl.
  2. Beat with a mixer on high speed until the batter becomes thick, fluffy, and leaves ribbon traces.
  3. Sift together flour, cornstarch, milk powder, and cinnamon powder.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients into the batter while gently folding with a spatula.
  5. Pour in the melted margarine and fold gently until well combined.
  6. Pour the batter into a 20 × 20 cm baking pan lined with baking paper.
  7. Bake at 170°C for 25–30 minutes until fully cooked.
  8. Let the cake cool completely.
How to Make the Crumble:
  1. Mix margarine and powdered sugar until well combined.
  2. Add the egg yolk and mix again.
  3. Add milk powder, cornstarch, and flour.
  4. Mix until it forms a crumbly dough (crumble texture).
  5. Bake at 160°C for about 15–20 minutes until dry and crispy.
How to Assemble the Nastar Cake:
  1. Spread a thin layer of buttercream on the surface of the cake.
  2. Add Croner Nastar Special as the topping or filling.
  3. Sprinkle the nastar crumble evenly on top.
  4. Slice and serve as desired.
