Ingredients
Cake Ingredients:
- 3 eggs
- 9 g Innova Cake Emulsifier
- 70 g granulated sugar
- 70 g medium-protein flour (all-purpose flour)
- 20 g cornstarch
- 25 g milk powder
- 3 g cinnamon powder
- 80 g melted margarine
Fillings:
- Buttercream as needed
- Croner Fiber as needed
Nastar Crumble Ingredients:
- 110 g margarine
- 25 g powdered sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 15 g milk powder
- 15 g cornstarch
- 150 g low-protein flour (cake flour)
Instructions
How to Make the Cake:
- Put eggs, granulated sugar, and Innova Cake Emulsifier into a mixing bowl.
- Beat with a mixer on high speed until the batter becomes thick, fluffy, and leaves ribbon traces.
- Sift together flour, cornstarch, milk powder, and cinnamon powder.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients into the batter while gently folding with a spatula.
- Pour in the melted margarine and fold gently until well combined.
- Pour the batter into a 20 × 20 cm baking pan lined with baking paper.
- Bake at 170°C for 25–30 minutes until fully cooked.
- Let the cake cool completely.
How to Make the Crumble:
- Mix margarine and powdered sugar until well combined.
- Add the egg yolk and mix again.
- Add milk powder, cornstarch, and flour.
- Mix until it forms a crumbly dough (crumble texture).
- Bake at 160°C for about 15–20 minutes until dry and crispy.
How to Assemble the Nastar Cake:
- Spread a thin layer of buttercream on the surface of the cake.
- Add Croner Nastar Special as the topping or filling.
- Sprinkle the nastar crumble evenly on top.
- Slice and serve as desired.
